Editing Specialist (Part-time)
Responsibilities

Editing college application materials, including personal statement essays, school-specific supplemental essays, and resumes, providing tailored guidance to help students effectively present themselves as qualified candidates to their desired schools and programs

Offering feedback in terms of both form and content to help students develop compelling narratives and strengthen writing skills over time

Corresponding with an international team of colleagues via online platforms in order to deliver optimal client services
Requirements
-
Upcoming or recent graduate of a top US College or University with a minimum GPA of 3.5

Experience editing academic assignments, application essays, and/or resumes
-
Ability to provide quality, actionable feedback for students’ written works

Critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
-
Flexibility and ability to work under deadlines

Anticipated start date: May 2020

Ideal contract commitment: through January 2021
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience tutoring or teaching, especially in writing or humanities

Experience working with students who are English Language Learners (ELL/ESL)
